[Mentor] Before we jump in, let’s use our Get Connected time to think about who we can invite to First Priority next week. There are people all over our school who could really use a place like this. Somewhere to feel seen and heard. So, who’s someone you can bring with you next week? (Allow students to respond.) Let’s welcome our student host for today! [insert name]
WELCOME & OPEN PRAYER
[Host] Hey everyone, welcome to First Priority! We are so glad you’re here. Today [insert name] is going to talk about how we can live out our faith and share our story with others. Let’s start today by going to God in prayer. Let’s pray.
Sample prayer: God, thank You for bringing each person here today. We ask You to help us focus our hearts and minds on You. Speak through [insert name] as they encourage and challenge us to share our faith and live for You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
THE CONVERSATION
[Speaker] Last week we were challenged to look for one moment each day where we could be a light at school. Let’s take a few minutes to hear from anyone who took that challenge. Did you find a moment to shine in a dark place? (Allow students to share and be sure to share a moment from your own week too.)
Isn’t it awesome to see how even small things can make a big impact? This is what it looks like to live out our faith. Let’s look at Colossians chapter 4 verses 5 and 6. “Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.”
This verse gives us some solid direction. First, it says, “Walk in wisdom toward outsiders.” That basically means be smart about how we live around people who don’t know Jesus yet. It’s not just about what we say, it’s about how we act. How we treat others, how we handle stress, and how we deal with drama all show people what kind of person we are and more importantly, who Jesus is through us.
Then it says, “make the best use of the time.” That’s a reminder that there are chances all around us to shine a light. Whether it’s saying hi to someone who’s alone, helping out in class, or just being kind, those little moments can lead to big conversations about faith.
And finally, “let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt.” In other words, don’t be rude or harsh. Speak with kindness, truth, and a little flavor. Talk in a way that makes people want to listen, even if we don’t agree with them. The way we talk can either open the door to Jesus or close it.
Sharing our faith doesn’t have to be a huge thing. It can be as simple as talking about how Jesus helps us through school stress or how our goals are shaped by our relationship with Him. Whether we’re talking about family, friendships, or future plans, let’s make space in those conversations for Jesus.
The more we walk with Him, the more natural it becomes to talk about Him. In First Thessalonians chapter 2 verse 8, it says, “We loved you so much that we shared with you not only God’s Good News but our own lives, too.” Sharing our lives helps people see Jesus in real, relatable ways. Our stories, what Jesus has done and is doing in us, have power. The world needs to hear them.
We’re surrounded by people who are looking for something real. Our friends at school, people on our teams, even our family. That’s why this matters. If we’re willing to be real about our faith, God can use our stories to reach the world around us. We don’t need to preach. We just need to show who Jesus is through how we live and what we say. It starts right where we are, one conversation at a !me.
FAITH STORY – TESTIMONY TIME
[Speaker] This whole school year we’ve been learning how to share our faith story. In First John chapter 5 verse 10, it says, “Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself.” That means if we believe in Jesus, our lives have stories worth sharing. And for some of us, that story started right here at First Priority.
Let’s spend the rest of our club time bragging about what Jesus has done in our lives this school year. Whether it’s big or small, every moment matters. (Encourage students to share testimonies.)

CHALLENGE & PRAY
[Host] Before we wrap up, here’s our challenge. Look for one opportunity this week to share a piece of your Jesus story with someone. It could be a friend, someone new, or even a teacher. Be real, be bold, and let people see the difference Jesus makes. Let’s pray!
Sample prayer: God, thank You for what You’re doing in each of our lives. Give us eyes to see the people around us who need You. Help us be bold enough to speak up, and humble enough to just be real. Use our stories to show others who You are. In Jesus’ name, amen.
