WELCOME & OPEN PRAYER
[Host] Hey everyone! Welcome to First Priority. We’re glad you’re here today. [Insert name] is going to share why it matters that we tell our friends about Jesus. It might seem scary or awkward, but it’s something we’re all called to do, and it can make a big difference. Before we dive in, let’s take a second to pray and get our hearts ready. Let’s pray!
Sample prayer: God, thanks for bringing us here today. Help us hear what You want to say. Give us boldness to talk about You with our friends and remind us that You’re always with us. Speak through [insert name] and help us to listen well. In Jesus’ name, amen.
THE CONVERSATION
[Speaker] Last week we talked about using the Salvation Bracelet to start conversations about Jesus. Did anyone get a chance to use it or maybe just have a God moment where you felt like He wanted you to speak up? (Take a moment to let a few people share and share your own response too.) I know this is something that we often struggle with. We want to tell our friends about Jesus, but sometimes it just feels …awkward. Or we think, “What if I say it wrong?” or “What if they think I’m weird?” Anyone else feel that way?
But the more I think about it, the more I realize my friends need Jesus. They don’t just need a good day or a pep talk, they need hope. Real hope. And we have it!
Sometimes, we get caught up in our everyday stuff, like who’s dating who, what’s going on in our Snap stories, drama at school, sports, grades, and we totally forget that the people around us might be hurting or lost.
But here’s the truth: If we have a relationship with Jesus, then we carry the greatest news ever! The kind of news that changes someone’s forever. That’s a big deal. So, why wouldn’t we want to share that with people we care about?
Let’s read Romans chapter 10 verse 14, “How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?” That verse hits hard. If we don’t tell our friends about Jesus, who will? We might be the only Jesus follower they know. It’s not by accident that we’re in the same class, same team, or same friend group as them.
And in Mark chapter 16 verse 15, Jesus says, “And He said to them, ’Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.’” He didn’t say, “Hey, only talk about Me when it’s convenient.” He said, “Go.” That means we’re sent. All of us. Even if you feel unqualified or nervous, He still wants to use us.
I know it’s not always easy. But we don’t have to do it alone. We have tools like the Life/Death card or the Salvation Bracelet. And honestly, sometimes it just starts with a question like, “Can I tell you something that’s changed my life?” How will they know unless someone tells them?

- How has it been going the last few weeks with starting conversations about the Gospel with your friends?
- What’s your biggest fear when it comes to sharing Jesus with your friends?
- Have you ever had a moment where you knew God wanted you to speak up, but you stayed quiet? How did that feel?
- Who in your life do you think might be ready to hear about Jesus right now?
You know enough to tell someone how to begin a relationship with Him, and if you don’t think you do, then invite them to First Priority next week where they can hear people share their faith story. Let’s finish up our club time in a silent prayer, asking God to show us someone in our life who needs Him. Pray for boldness and ask Him to give you opportunities this week.

[Host] Our challenge for this week is to talk to our friends about Jesus and invite them to join us at church or First Priority. Let’s pray.
Sample prayer: God, thank You for giving us something worth sharing. Thank You for loving us so much that You sent Jesus to save us. This week, help us not to be silent. Give us boldness to speak up and love our friends enough to share the truth. In Jesus’ name, amen.
