A day with Chris Lane.
Tuesday I woke up extra early so I could make it to the gym and still be in Coral Springs by 8:30 am. At 8:30, I arrived at Coral Springs Middle school and was the Mission Week speaker to 23 students in the band room - 9 students were saved! I traveled back to our office in Ft. Lauderdale to send out some thank you notes, prepare for our Founders tailgate party, return e-mails, and get ready for American High at noon. At 10:30, I headed to Miami, stopping at Papa John’s to pick up 20 pizzas for the lunch meeting at American High. Over 100 students piled into the small auditorium and after a 20 minute gospel presentation, 23 students responded to the alter call to receive Christ. Once I was done at American High, I headed back to Ft. Lauderdale to plan for our staff meeting on Wednesday, returned calls, browse reports from our staff and then headed home. That Tuesday was an exciting day, I spoke to 123 students, saw 32 saved, drove 91 miles, witnessed 3 dozen donuts and 20 pizzas consumed…and I forgot my sunpass and had to stop at every toll booth on the Sawgrass Expressway and the turnpike… I guess it could have been worse. Just think, that happens all the time on 120 campuses across South Florida. Thanks for your prayers!
